SEBA is a pioneer in the banking industry with the mission to build a FINMA supervised and progressive technological bridge between the traditional and the crypto worlds.

Trigger were approached to develop a custom website for SEBA Crypto AG back in September. Our role in this process was to build the website elements, configure the CMS, and to bring the new SEBA Crypto AG website to life. Sounds easy? Well, it wasn’t as straightforward as all that.

The design of the website was presented by Jeremy Simmons of Process.ie supported by Rob McConkey of McComms. Both did a fantastic job of imagining the new website, and developing interactive elements, video, and more. I will always say, a high end website is only as good as the design supplied. People rarely, if ever, consider what is under the hood and how they are put together.

SEBA Crypto AG were conscious that they didn’t want their website built on a platform which may be susceptible to cyber attacks, and instantly ruled out WordPress as a CMS. After much research and discussion, we chose Craft CMS. Our head of web development played an integral part in the selection of Craft CMS.

The development of the website was certainly a learning curve. Without getting into the nuances of developing with Craft CMS (a blog will follow..), we delivered the website in 5 weeks. This was no mean feat, and required many long nights, and a few all nighters, but we got there in the end.

There were a few vital cogs in this machine who deserve a mention. This website was delivered on time due to the brilliant project management of Michael O’Donnell of Trigger. Personally speaking, I would have found it difficult, nigh on impossible to deliver this website in such a tight timeframe without his assistance.

Another was our head of web development, Ronan O’Leary. Ronan acted as a strategic advisor on this project, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of Craft CMS, as well as conducting code reviews.

Web being web, SEBA will be updating their website in the near future on their banking platform, however, if you want to check out their website, follow this link HERE
